The Zuiderdam began her inaugural season in 2002 as the first ship in Holland America Lines’ Vista-class series. She embraces the latest industry and environmental technologies such as her use of a diesel-electric power plant for optimal energy efficiency and an Azipod propulsion system.

Onboard the Zuiderdam, you'll find the Vista Show Lounge which has some excellent entertainment, including talented vocalists, dancers, illusionists and comedians.
The Crow's Nest is great day or night. For stunning views during the day and a lively nightclub at night, where you can dance the night away.
And the children are certainly well looked at in Club HAL® their dedicated youth facilities and activities for kids ages 3 - 12, all these activities are supervised for your piece of mind. And the teenagers are also not forgotten with ‘The Loft' which is designed exclusively for teenagers to have fun and socialize.
Activities
Onboard the Zuiderdam you can take part in interactive gourmet cooking lessons taught by the ships very own Master Chefs or culinary guests.
Looking for some luxury and a little bit of indulgence, head to the Greenhouse Spa and Salon. Treat yourself to a hot stone massage, and prepare to feel totally relaxed and pampered with a facial and then get your nails and hair done.
You can sit back and relax in Explorations Café. This comfortable, coffee house is a tranquil environment where you can read books, surf the internet and read the morning paper.
Evenings on Zuiderdam are full of glittering choices as your nightly entertainment program begins as well as plenty of intimate bars and lounges where you can enjoy a drink with family and friends. On board you’ll find spectacular shows, live music, cabaret, dancing, and a casino.
